Chairman of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia at the SAO

On August 24–28, 2016, the Supreme Audit Office (SAO) welcomed Chairman of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia Mr. Harry Azhar Azis and seven other representatives from the Indonesian supreme audit institution (SAI). Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Czech Republic Mr. Aulia Aman Rachman also attended the event. Delegates were welcomed by President of the SAO Mr. Miloslav Kala and representatives from the SAO’s Audit Section, the International Relations Department, and the Communication Department.
The meeting aimed at exchanging basic information about powers, organisational structures, and auditing processes implemented by both the supreme audit institutions. The discussion also dealt with the topics of state property management, audit outcomes in the area of education, science, and research, and the SAO’s participation in the INTOSAI working group on environmental auditing. Delegates from the Indonesian SAI were interested in the SAO’s auditing methods in the area of national health care and the issue of public works, supply, and service contracts.
During the event, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed committing both the SAIs to support their bilateral cooperation.
