Representatives of Georgian SAI learned about the project for human resources management
Press Release – December 6, 2010
From November 29 to December 2, 2010, representatives from the Chamber of Control of Georgia visited the Supreme Audit Office of the Czech Republic (SAO) and learnt about the systems of human resources management and professional training at the SAO. Georgian representatives said they could use the experience acquired at the SAO and other international organizations to reorganize the HR system of their SAI.
President of the SAO František Dohnal informed that the SAO had been asked by Georgian SAI for cooperation because of the SAO’s experience with implementation of a modern system of manpower management. “Georgian colleagues requested a presentation of our experience with human resources management strategy, its formation and implementation by the SAO, organisational provisions, and the SAO’s experience with the system’s practical application. The Georgian delegates were also interested in the SAO’s definition of job positions and the staff evaluation system, the recruitment practices, the training system of our staff as well as the necessary IT support”, said Dohnal.
The delegation from Georgia also visited the SAO’s training centre as the SAI of Georgia would like to create such a training centre as well. At the end of the event, participants from both SAIs discussed possibilities of their institutions’ cooperation within the implementation process of the human resources management system in Georgia as well as during a professional training course, which should take place in Georgia in the spring 2011. The implementation of the project is co-funded from the United Nations Development Programme.
