Meeting of EUROSAI Goal Team for Knowledge Sharing in Prague
On November 16–17, 2011, the first meeting of EUROSAI Goal Team for Knowledge Sharing took place in Prague. The team was established on the basis of the EUROSAI Strategic Plan 2011–2017, which defines four strategic goals for EUROSAI member countries: 1. CAPACITY BUILDING, 2. PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS, 3. KNOWLEDGE SHARING, 4. GOVERNANCE AND COMMUNICATION. Within the frame of the strategic goals, specific tasks have been defined and EUROSAI members have established working teams, which are going to fulfil the tasks.
During the XXXVIII EUROSAI Contact Committee meeting, the Supreme Audit Office of the Czech Republic was appointed as the chairing institution of strategic goal 3 – KNOWLEDGE SHARING, which aims at encouraging cooperation and exchange of experience among EUROSAI members, within INTOSAI and with external partners.
The CR – Supreme Audit Office has become the leading SAI of the strategic goal 3 for three years at minimum. The goal team consists of supreme audit institutions (selected by means of a questionnaire inquiry) of the following countries: Belgium, Estonia, Cyprus, Lithuania, Hungary, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Austria, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, and Ukraine.
During the first meeting, participants agreed on developing of an operational plan for the period 2011–2014 and discussed the possibilities of meeting the main areas of the strategic goal 3, including:
- improve access to the results of work done by individual supreme audit institutions and both EUROSAI working groups and INTOSAI working groups,
- encouraging cooperation among EUROSAI members,
- encouraging cooperation within INTOSAI,
- encouraging cooperation with external partners.
