The extraordinary 59th EUROSAI Governing Board meeting

The extraordinary 59th meeting of the EUROSAI Governing Board (GB) was held on 20th December 2023, with the only item in the agenda being the decision on the format of the XII EUROSAI Congress, to be hosted by the Office of the State Comptroller and Ombudsman of Israel.
The meeting, chaired by the Supreme Audit Office of the Czech Republic (EUROSAI Presidency), was also attended by the remaining members of the EUROSAI GB (Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of Israel, Poland, Spain, Latvia, Lithuania, Türkiye, and United Kingdom).
Mr Matanyahu Englman, State Comptroller and Ombudsman of Israel and 1st Vice-president of EUROSAI, informed the GB about the possibilities offered by his SAI for the celebration of the Congress. As a result of their analysis, the GB adopted the following decision:
Due to the unfavourable security conditions in Israel, the XII EUROSAI Congress, including the 60th and 61st Governing Board meetings, will be held online on the 27th and 28th May 2024. SAI Israel will arrange all necessary technical conditions and will organise a Post-Congress Conference when the security situation in Israel allows.
