Press release – 2. 5. 2016

On April, 18–21st, 2016, a meeting that focused on the development of the EUROSAI Strategic Plan for the period 2017–2023 took place in Haag, the Netherlands, which was also attended by representatives from the Supreme Audit Office (SAO).

The items discussed at the meeting included the evaluation of individual EUROSAI members’ needs as well as the EUROSAI self-evaluation process, on the basis of which a new structure of the organisation’s running and a new strategic plan were suggested. The new strategic plan and the organisation’s new structure will be submitted to the EUROSAI Governing Board for a formal approval in June 2016.

In a survey concerning the needs and most important outcomes of EUROSAI members’ activities, the SAO has achieved a major success and ranked in the top 5 with its two tools, which were developed by the SAO for better sharing of information among EUROSAI members. The tools involved a database of EUROSAI audits – 1st place (see: http://www.eurosai.org/en/databases/audits/) and a database of EUROSAI products – 4th place (see: http://www.eurosai.org/en/databases/products/).
