Miloslav Kala will lead the Supreme Audit Office of the Czech Republic for further nine years. He was appointed to the post today by Miloš Zeman, President of the Czech Republic.

Miloš Zeman, President of the Czech Republic, appointed Miloslav Kala as President of the Supreme Audit Office at the Prague Castle on 6 April 2022. Mr Kala was re-elected to this post by the Chamber of Deputies on 23 March in a secret ballot. He was the only candidate in the election. 123 out of 182 MPs voted in favour of Mr Kala, while at least 92 votes were needed for his re-election.
The term of office of the President of the Supreme Audit Office is nine years. In addition to managing the Office, the President of the SAO also chairs a 17-member Board of the Office and the Disciplinary Chamber. Currently, he is also President of EUROSAI.
