PRESS RELEASE – 26 September 2024

On Thursday 26 September 2024, Ladislava Slancová, a new Member of the Board of the Supreme Audit Office (SAO), took the oath of office in the hands of the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Markéta Pekarová Adamová, and thus assumed her new position.

Ladislava Slancová, the current Director of the Internal Audit Department, has been working for the SAO for fourteen years and, in addition to managing the Internal Audit Department, she was a cyber security auditor. Under her leadership, the department reviewed and evaluated the SAO's internal control system.

Slancová was elected to the post of a SAO Board Member on Wednesday 18 September 2024. In a secret ballot, she won 68 votes out of 130 deputies present. The SAO President, Miloslav Kala, welcomed her election not only because her previous experience, work commitment and ability to communicate effectively will be of great use in conducting audits, but also because she will strengthen the representation of women in the SAO Board. Ladislava Slancová will replace the deceased Roman Procházka in the SAO Board.
