A meeting with representatives of the Supreme Audit Office of the Slovak Republic

On January 8–9, 2014, representatives of the Supreme Audit Office of the Czech Republic (SAO) met with a delegation from the supreme audit institution (SAI) of the Slovak Republic led by Vice-president Igor Šulaj. At first, the delegation was welcomed by President of the SAO Miloslav Kala. The meeting was chaired by Vice-president of the SAO Zdeňka Horníková.
The aim of the visit was to discuss the possibilities of a joint audit operation, which would focus on consumption taxes and the value added taxes in the area of services. Experts exchanged information about planned audit operations, the audits’ goals as well as time schedules. Future co-operation was negotiated and an agreement was reached to arrange details and specifications of procedures during a following meeting.
The other talks focused on the topics of financial auditing and the audit of budgetary processes, namely in connection with analysing the reports on the implementation of the state budget and the state closing accounts.
