Delegates from the Montenegrin SAI on a study visit to the SAO

From December 2 to 5, 2013, the Supreme Audit Office welcomed a delegation from the supreme audit institution of (SAI) of Montenegro, who arrived for a study visit. The delegation was led by Mr. Milan Dabović, President of the Montenegrin SAI.

For the Montenegrin delegates, experts from the SAO prepared presentations about the auditing of monitoring data and management of public funds, financial auditing, the audit of the state final accounts of the Czech Republic, and management of the audit quality at the SAO. Attendees of the four-day meeting also discussed the SAO’s relations with the Government and the Parliament. They were informed about the current attempts to enlarge the SAO’s competences.

The SAO was asked by the UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) to organize the study visit for the Montenegrin delegates and focus the meetings on strengthening the institutional capacity of the Montenegrin SAI as it was established in 2004 and belongs among developing institutions.
