Delegates from the Republic of Moldova on a visit at the SAO

On March 20–21, 2013, representatives of the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova and the Moldovan Parliament visited the Supreme Audit Office (SAO) to research the topic "Cooperation between a supreme audit institution and the Parliament". The delegation from the Court of Accounts consisted of President of the Court Mr Serafim Urechean, Ms Angela Pascaru, and Mr Gheorghe Trocin. Among the guests to the SAO were also three members of the Commission for economy, budget, and finance of the Moldovan Parliament: Ms Svetlana Sagaidac, Mr Iurie Cernean, and Mr Andrei Costandachi.

The study visit was organised under the auspices of the Office for Technical Assistance and Information Exchange (TAIEX). TAIEX is an instrument managed by the Directorate-General for Enlargement of the European Commission, which supports partner countries with regard to the approximation, application, and enforcement of EU legislation.

On March 20, 2013, the Moldovan delegates were welcomed by representatives of the Control Committee of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. The meeting at the Supreme Audit Office took place on March 21, 2013. During the meeting, the delegates were informed about the SAO’s activities and the SAO’s relations with the Government and the Parliament.
