Delegation from SAO visited the National Audit Office of Bulgaria

On June 23–26, 2010, president of the Supreme Audit Office (SAO) František Dohnal and other representatives from SAO visited the National Audit Office of Bulgaria (BNAO). Members of the delegation from the Czech Republic met with president of the BNAO Mr. Valerij Dimitrov and with ambassador of the Czech Republic Mr. Martin Klepetko.
“We discussed about audits within the field of the administration, the developments of both the SAIs’ competencies, the independency of SAIs, and strategic plans of the BNAO. The items on the meeting’s agenda also included audits of financial allotments from the European Union and the auditing of financial means and property of political parties. The 2010 Report on EU Financial Management in the Czech Republic was presented to president of the BNAO Valerij Dimitrov. The Czech delegation later travelled to the Regional Office of the BNAO in Plovdiv to learn more about its structure and functioning. We discussed topics related to auditing, audit conclusions, and planning of auditing activities in more detail“, said Dohnal.
