Delegation from the United Kingdom Parliament at the SAO

On May 11, 2009, representatives from the Public Accounts Committee of the United Kingdom Parliament met with the vice-president of the Supreme Audit Office (SAO) Miroslav Kala.
The delegation led by the Chairman of the Committee, Edward Leigh, MP, planned on establishing a co-operation with the government and committees and subcommittees of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. On a visit to the SAO, the Public Accounts Committee representatives learnt about the history of auditing in the Czech Republic and the competences and organisational structure of the supreme audit institution in the Czech Republic. The visitors also took interest in the types of auditing operations performed by the SAO auditors, especially the performance audits, as well as procedures of submitting the audit reports and the subsequent processing.
