Meeting of representatives from the SAO and the Office for the Protection of Competition

President of the Supreme Audit Office (SAO) and the chairman of the Office for the Protection of Competition (OPC) met to discuss a future cooperation of their institutions, which both deal with public orders – each of them has their own point of view.

“When auditing expenses of the state budget, the SAO goes in for public orders´ placement. Contested causes should be discussed together with the experts from the Office for the Protection of Competition. As for the administrative actions and the mulcting competence, these are among the implementing powers of the OPC. We took into an account the question of our mutual cooperation together with possible ways to improve the standard of public orders and the level of the governmental supervision of them, “ said president of the SAO, František Dohnal, after the meeting.
