President of the Czech Supreme Audit Office (SAO) visited by the new Polish ambassador

František Dohnal, president of SAO met the Polish ambassador to the Czech Republic, H. E. Jan Pastwa, on the last Wednesday of April. Jan Pastwa was installed to the position of the ambassador on March 26, 2007.
“The ambassador asked for a meeting as he would not be able to attend the meeting*) at SAO which is planned out on May 3, 2007. People of the Republic of Poland celebrate May 3 as the National 3rd of May Holiday (the Constitution Day). We discussed activities of SAO and cooperation with the supreme audit institution in Poland - Najwyższa Izba Kontroli, their jurisdictions, and the ways of nominating presidents of supreme audit institutions in both countries. The procedure of appointing a new president of the Polish audit institution is coming,“ said František Dohnal.
*) The president of SAO invited ambassadors as well as foreign affairs representatives of the EU countries to meet on May 3, 2007. During the meeting, the participants are to take up with the 2006 annual report, learn of the SAO position, and get informed about international cooperation within the frame of supreme audit institutions.
