Press release
March 9, 2007
This passing week, president of the SAO (Supreme Audit Office of Czech Republic) František Dohnal has begun this year’s lecturing at selected universities in Czech Republic. On March 8, 2007, students from the University of Pardubice attended his lecture “Place of the SAO in the frame of public administration – its importance, function, and control system“. On the following day, similar lecture took place at the International University of Business Law in Prague. Previous lecture on the same topic came about in November 2006 at the University of Economy in Prague.
“The Czech supreme audit institution activities concentrate on the state assets management audit. Their outcome is designated to Government and Parliament of ČR. The public should be also admitted to results of our work, alongside with authorities. For me, providing information to the public appears to be very important. Hence this year, I shall focus on lecturing likewise”, said president Dohnal.
“We offered lecturing particularly to universities where students prepare for their public administration career. Almost all of them were interested, that is why president of the SAO will read nearly 20 more lectures this year. In March 2007, four lectures are being prepared”, said Radka Burketová, Press Speaker of the SAO.
