President of the SAO met with ambassadors from EU countries

On November 12, 2013, president of the Supreme Audit Office (SAO) met with ambassadors of EU countries. The traditional meeting took place at the SAO’s headquarters in Prague. Among the attendees were also a representative of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the head of the European Commission Representation in the Czech Republic.
The attendees to the meeting were informed about the SAO’s audit activities, about the relation between the SAO and the Government and between the SAO and the Parliament, and were informed about the Annual Report of the SAO for the year 2012, the Report on the EU Financial Management in the CR (EU REPORT 2013), and international activities of the SAO. President of the SAO also commemorated 20th anniversary of the SAO’s formation. During the discussion, the ambassadors wanted to learn more about the EU funds auditing, possible improvements to the quality of public tendering, and about the co-operation between the SAO and the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
