President of the State Audit Office of Hungary at the SAO

On August 13, 2012, chairman of the State Audit Office of Hungary Mr. László Domokos arrived at the Supreme Audit Office of the Czech Republic and was welcomed by vice-president of the SAO Mr. Miloslav Kala.
The Hungarian delegation also included director of Department of Communication and Institutional Relations Ms. Erzsébet Németh and director of the Department of Quality Management and Methodology Ms. Eszter Dürr. The agenda of the meeting covered topics related to external presentation of both the institutions and principles of communication with the public as well as with the media.
Hungarian delegates presented their audit institution’s strategy and informed of performed audits, which aimed at the public administration. The participants also discussed IT tools used during auditing operations and future possibilities of cooperation between the two institutions, namely in the field of reporting on EU financial management and the database of examples of Good Practices in quality management auditing. The SAO of Hungary has launched an EU funded project entitled “Mapping Corruption Risks – Strengthening Integrity Based Administration”, which the SAO of CR finds very interesting.
