SAIs’ accountability and changes to legislation were among main agenda items of the V4+2 meeting in Poland

Presidents of supreme audit institutions (SAI) of the Visegrad Four member countries (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and the Slovak Republic) met with presidents of the Austria’s and Slovenia’s SAI at a regular meeting of the Visegrad 4+2 Group, which took place in Zakopane, Poland, on November 5 to 6, 2009. President of the Supreme Audit Office (SAO) František Dohnal and other SAO delegates represented the Czech Republic at the meeting.
“One of the main topics was the SAIs’ accountability as well as submitting the SAI's annual activity reports and being subject to external audit. We discussed recent and expected changes to the legislation concerning the SAIs of the V4+2 Group countries, the future cooperation of our institutions on bilateral and multilateral basis, and issues debated on seminars, which had recently been organized at our SAIs. We also tackled the essential items on the agenda of the upcoming Contact Committee meeting, which takes place in Budapest in December 2009” said president Dohnal.
