Press Release

H. E. Radhouane Larif, the Tunisian ambassador, was the first foreign visitor to the new Supreme Audit Office residence, the TOKOVO office building. On the last Tuesday of February, he came to visit the Czech SAO president, Frantisek Dohnal. Only two hours later, another foreign visitor arrived – it was the president of the Slovak SAO, Ján Jasovský.

„The Tunisian ambassador took interest in the Czech audit framework. We discussed ways of guaranteeing independence of our supreme audit institution, how we release the information, and how the state administration responds to our reports. The Tunisian system is rather different; it is similar to the French system thanks to its historical progress. The situation of their controlling institution reminds the post of a low court and the situation of their members reminds the post of judges. In practice, they are competent to impose a fine or make improvement proceedings", said the president of SAO, Frantisek Dohnal, to introduce topics of the talks.
