Two new Members of the SAO Board administered

The Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic proposed and elected Rudolf Kufa (Civil Democratic Party) and Karel Sehoř (Czech Social Democratic Party) to become new Members of the Board of the Supreme Audit Office.

As the membership in the SAO Board cannot coincide with the Chamber of Deputies membership (and it is not possible to keep it together with membership in parties or in movements, the position in public administration or municipal government, or the office of a justice or a prosecutor), the deputy mandates of both the above mentioned are about cease as Miroslav Vlček, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, will administer the oath.

The SAO Board had been two Members short since last year as former Members Jiří Drábek and Jan Holeček had attained the age of 65 years. Another Member’s office has been vacant, since Ludmila Brynychová, former Member of the SAO Board, died on August 8, 2009. By the end of August 2009, Member of the SAO Board Ladislav Zeman attained the age of 65 years and terminated the office.
