Vice-president of the SAO met with ambassadors from the EU countries and a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On October 25, 2012, vice-president of the Supreme Audit Office met with ambassadors of the EU countries and a delegate from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting took place at the SAO headquarters in Prague.
At the meeting, representatives of the SAO gave a presentation coccerning the basic data about organisational structure of the SAO, its powers, and management. The guests were also informed about the Report on the EU Financial Management in the CR (EU REPORT 2012) and 2011 Annual Report of the SAO. They were also informed about the SAO’s international activities, recent audit activities, and the SAO’s relations with the Government as well as with the Parliament.
During the following discussion, the participants of the meeting learnt details about EU funds management and the related cooperation between the SAO and EU institutions. The main topic of the discussion tackled the SAO’s participation in the fight against corruption and sharing the experience with foreign partner institutions.
