Dušan Tešnar
Vice-president of Supreme Audit Office (2003–2007)
born: December 5, 1945, in Valašské Klobouky
Studied at High Industrial School in Ostrava-Vítkovice and graduated from University of Technology in Brno – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
Worked as a technologist, a digital machine programmer, and a designer of automatized working places in Vítkovice, then in IMADOS Institute as a research worker for logistic, production and storage systems, and in the PROJEKTA organisation as a chief draughtsman for material flow and workplace engineering.
From 1990 to 1996, represented the magistrate for education and welfare in the Ostrava-Jih district, from 1996 to 2002 was a member of the Parliament of Czech Republic, where he chaired the fact-finding commission for privatisation of the TELECOM Company, the subcommittee for Post, Tecomunication, and Information Systems, and was a member of the Economic Committee.
Joined the Social Democratic Party in January 1990. On January 9, 2003, became the vice-president of Supreme Audit Office. From this function resigned on September 10, 2007, on behalf of his family’s duty.
