A panel discussion about internal and external auditing was held on May 14, 2015, at the headquarters of the Supreme Audit Office (SAO). It was the very first meeting of representatives from all main auditing institutions of the Czech Republic.
Na půdě Nejvyššího kontrolního úřadu se dnes uskutečnilo setkání na téma „Spolupráce interního a externího auditu.“ Jedná se o historicky první setkání představitelů hlavních kontrolních a auditních institucí České republiky.
The Supreme Audit Office scrutinized the Ministry of the Environment and its accounts as well as reporting in their financial statements and final accounts for the year 2013. During the auditing operation, a significant overall inaccuracy in the total amount of CZK 7,100 million was found.

Dalším ministerstvem, u kterého se NKÚ zaměřil na vedení účetnictví a vykazování údajů v rámci účetní závěrky, finančních výkazů a závěrečného účtu, bylo Ministerstvo životního prostředí. Při kontrole byly zjištěny významné nesprávnosti, které byly vyčísleny v celkové výši 7,1 miliardy korun.
Dne 7. května 2015 se v sídle NKÚ konalo pracovní setkání zástupců dánského Parlamentu, dánského Nejvyššího kontrolního úřadu a dánského velvyslance pro Českou republiku s prezidentem NKÚ a dalšími představiteli úřadu.

Nejvyšší kontrolní úřad prověřil náklady na výstavbu a provoz datového centra Státní tiskárny cenin (STC) v letech 2010 až 2014. Zaměřil se také na koordinační roli Ministerstva vnitra v oblasti datových center a na roli Ministerstva financí v projektu datového centra STC. Vybudování datového centra STC stálo 386 milionů korun a do ukončení kontroly byla jeho kapacita využívána pouze z poloviny.
The Supreme Audit office (SAO) audited new instruments of the VAT Act, which were supposed to fight against the tax evasion as well as increase the collection of the value added tax (VAT) in the years 2011–2013. Auditors also calculated the so-called “VAT gap” for the year 2013, which is the difference between the theoretic and the actual VAT collection.
Nejvyšší kontrolní úřad prověřil, jak fungovaly v letech 2011 až 2013 nové mechanismy, které měly zefektivnit boj proti daňovým únikům a tím zvýšit výběr daně z přidané hodnoty (DPH). Kontroloři také vyčíslili tzv. mezeru DPH za rok 2013 – tedy rozdíl mezi teoretickým a skutečným výběrem DPH.
The Supreme Audit Office (SAO) scrutinized the utilization of funds earmarked for reconstructions and the maintenance of national and regional railways within the period from 2010 to 2014. At the Railway Infrastructure Administration (RIA) or its regional directorates, no fundamental errors were found. However, auditors concluded that the RIA could utilise the funds even more effectively.
Nejvyšší kontrolní úřad prověřil poskytování, čerpání a použití peněz na opravy a údržbu celostátních a regionálních drah v letech 2010 až 2014. Kontrola nezjistila u Správy železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC) ani u jejích oblastních ředitelství zásadní pochybení. Ukázalo se ale, že SŽDC má ve vynakládání finančních prostředků rezervy.
