Allowance organizations founded by the Ministry of Education kept unconvincing accounts

From September 2008 to February 2009, auditors from the Supreme Audit Office (SAO) audited the Ministry of Education and its administration of the state budget chapter in 2007 as well as the allowance organizations founded by the Ministry of Education and their finance management. According to the auditors, the Ministry failed to evaluate or agree to depreciation plans while setting down the operating benefits of the audited organizations.

Zástupci Nejvyššího kontrolního úřadu v čele s prezidentem Františkem Dohnalem představili ve středu 20. května poslancům a pozvaným hostům Zprávu o finančním řízení prostředků Evropské unie v České republice – EU report 2009. Akce se uskutečnila v prostorách Poslanecké sněmovny Parlamentu ČR a kromě prezidenta Dohnala nad ní převzal záštitu také její předseda Miloslav Vlček.

The need for a newly-regularized management of churches and congregations

From May to November 2008, auditors from the Supreme Audit Office (SAO) performed an audit of the state budget finances allotted to churches and congregations within the period from 2006 to 2007. Pursuant to the law of securing financial needs of churches and congregations, over CZK 1.1 milliard were allotted from the state budget in 2006 and over CZK 1.2 milliard in 2007 to meet the costs of churches and congregations.

Zákon o hospodářském zabezpečení církví a náboženských společností je podle NKÚ zastaralý

Nejvyšší kontrolní úřad (NKÚ) prověřil poskytování, čerpání a použití prostředků státního rozpočtu na financování církví a náboženských společností. Na úhradu výdajů církví a náboženských společností (CNS) byly poskytnuty ve smyslu zákona o hospodářském zabezpečení CNS státem v roce 2006 ze státního rozpočtu peněžní prostředky ve výši přes 1,1 mld. korun a v roce 2007 ve výši přes 1,2 mld.

President of the SAO handed in the 2008 Annual Report to the Prime Minister

On a scheduled meeting with the Prime Minister, president of the Supreme Audit Office (SAO) František Dohnal handed in the 2008 Annual Report of the SAO. The Annual Report summarizes the information on 38 last year’s audit operations, which aimed at the state property and state budget funds in the amount of CZK 158 milliard. The Annual Report was submitted to both chambers of the Parliament and to the Prime Minister on March 12, 2009.
